The Blackfoot

by Christin Ditchfield

Book review

The Blackfoot actually consists of four closely related tribes: the Siksika, or Northern Blackfoot; the Kainah, or the Bloods; the Pikuni, or Piegans; and the Blackfeet. The Blackfoot lived across a broad section of the Great Plains and were known for being great hunters and warriors. Today, there are more than 35,000 people who identify themselves as Blackfoot, and some live on reservations in Montana and Canada.
